Think it or not, there are many things that people use their teeth for they shouldn’t. From piercing plastic to smashing nut shells, we’ve seen lots of teeth harmed by inappropriate usage. Regrettably, during this holiday season, we see an increase in this type of emergency. Here are some things you can take note of to keep yourself safe and your teeth healthy.
During this gift-giving time of year, lots of people use their teeth to open presents: don’t do this! Your teeth are intended for slicing and chewing food, but not for opening presents! If you open a gift with your teeth, you could perhaps be in for a major restorative checkup with our staff. Another concern we’ve noticed is people opening soda bottles with their teeth: we can’t stress enough how dangerous this is! Spend a small bit of additional time to find a bottle opener and maintain yourself a lot of time and uneasiness from repairing broken teeth.
Make time for your checkup with Dr. Fahad Javed by dialing 317-222-4102 now, and the Keystone Dental Group staff in Indianapolis, Indiana, will help you. Do your best not to open gifts with your teeth, and we’ll congratulate you on your patience during your next appointment! We hope to see you soon!
